Basket

Since we have all these days off and we have to stay in town (Andre is on call) I decided to do some projects. I'll post about them if I feel they are blog worthy... This one turned out really really good and I am really pleased with my work.



I should have taken a before picture. Andre had all his random computer parts on that shelf and now they are in the box. I need to make another box for the bottom shelf for all of Archimedes toys. All I did to make this box was take a cardboard box and cut the top flaps off. Then I hot glued burlap onto it. Then I just embellished it with that rope that you see. Thats it. It only took about a half hour and it cost $3 for a yard of burlap, of which I used about 3/4. And I only put hot glue directly onto my hand one time: The stupid thing was that after I burned myself I flapped my hand like a fool and got the glue on my other hand as well so both hands are burnt. The worst part was peeling off the glue and having it take my skin with it... don't try that at home!
