this week

Ive had a pretty lame week this week. Nothing too exciting has happened. The main exciting thing is that the last few days was the Jazz Festival. Its a pretty big deal, a lot of schools from around here come and compete. There are elementary kids, middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Usually all this festival means for me is that the campus is extremely over crowded and there are loads of people who dont know how to use cross walks. This year, however, my cousin Derek performed and I got to go watch him play the drums. He was pretty amazing and it was nice to see some family up here.

Heres a picture I took with my phone so its not the best quality... but he did an amazing job and it was really cool to see him play.
Andre went out of town this weekend, so I vowed that I would actually get some stuff done. While I didnt get everything done that I needed to, I did feel like today was a fairly productive day. My truck looks better then ever. I really love that thing. Its amazing.
I felt pretty good about myself today. I went to Schucks to buy a seat cover for my truck. I bought a few other things as well. When they rang me up I wasnt really paying attention, and after words I realized I had only paid ten dollars, when the seat cover was supposed to be 30. I looked at the receipe and realized that they hadnt charged me for the seat cover. I went back and told them what had happened. The cashier was almost upset that I made him do the extra work. Oh well. My eternal salvation isnt worth 30 dollars.

  1. I think I was in that Jazz Festival in High School, it was kind of crazy in Moscow then, and I am sure I was one of the people that didn't know how to use the crosswalks ;) And! I LOVE C.S. Lewis, he has some amazing quotes, I read his "Mere Christianity" Book last year and it is incredible, kind of intense, and you have to take your time, but so worth it :)

When do we get to see you again? We are going to my house in April, and were thinking we may go your way and come to see you... :)
