6 months & Thanksgiving

Aika turned 6 months old two days ago. She is so fun right now. She still likes her mamma and not many other people. She loves to eat and is eating a lot of solid foods but won't drink formula, which is okay.. for now. She has tried a few different kinds of baby foods and has even had some ritz crackers which she ate like a pro. She loves loves her brother. They like to talk in the back seat. Sometimes it ends up in fits of laughter from both of them. It makes me wonder if they understand each other. I think they are going to be great friends. Aika is now sitting up on her own. She is much happier sitting than laying down. She likes to be in on all the action. She would rather sleep in my arms than anywhere else, which is hard for me not to let her do more than I should. Archimedes did NOT like to cuddle (he's getting better now,) so its nice to have a baby that loves it. Baby cuddles are my favorite :) Another funny thing about Aika is she has started a fake cry. She just started it yesterday. It is really deep, which is funny because her normal cry is pretty high pitched.

For Thanksgiving, we went over to Coeur D' Alene to visit my sister, Brooke, and her family. We had such a great time, thanks for inviting us up Brooke. While we were there, we make swags (like a wreath but straight instead of a circle... I had never heard of them before but maybe I'm weird for that), we went to the festival of lights, we had thanksgiving dinner with some yummy, yummy food and pie, did some black friday (well.. thursday night) shopping, and Andre shot a deer. I went hunting too but I never actually fired a shot. Maybe next year. Archimedes and Aika seemed to have a pretty good time. Archimedes especially liked my nephew's car collection. He would go into the play room and bring out one or two cars at a time until he had about 15 out. We had such a good time and we are really grateful that we were able to spend the holidays with some of my family.
