Archimedes First Birthday

So this post is a little late, but better late than never right? For Archimedes birthday, we had two little parties for him. We had one in Moscow with our friends there before we left (I have pictures of that one, but they are not on this computer, so I'll have to add them later). We had another little party for him yesterday here in Boardman. Both times were super fun and we are very happy to have so many people that care so much about our little guy. I was sad that my family wasn't able to celebrate with us since they are so far away. Maybe one day we'll live closer to them (Fingers crossed!). Archimedes had a really good time at both parties and got way too much sugar both times, but it was fun so that's all that matters, right? I love being his mother. He is such a fun boy. He is a really good eater and sleeper. He is almost always happy, but does crave attention. He does stairs really really well and is not afraid of any height - he'll just turn around and crawl off whatever he's on... couches, beds, stairs, it gets a little scary sometimes. He says a few words - uh oh, Jawa (Andre's brother's dog), dad, mom, and Andre's dad swears he can say grandpa... the verdict is still out on that one. He loves to be outside more than anything and is almost always happy when he is outside. He loves to help his mom, especially with the laundry (he takes out whatever I have folded or puts dirty clothes in the dryer when I take out clean ones). He is so super close to walking, I keep thinking any day now he'll just start walking but he hasn't quite got it yet. He loves cars and balls and is figuring out that he can throw things. He is really a joy to be around and Andre and I feel so blessed to be his parents. Here are a few pictures from his little party here in Boardman.
