Yes I know.. Feeding your children anything except for breast milk/formula before they are four months old is likely to make the entire world explode. However, waking up every hour all night long is likely to make a mother explode. So, I have started giving Archimedes a small amount even though he is not quite 3 months old... (about an ounce, maybe two, but as you can tell from the picture, not much of it makes it in) of formula with some rice cereal in it. It is much less messy when I give it to him in this special little bottle, but much less fun.. plus I am not quite smart enough to figure the bottle out entirely and it doesnt quite work right all the time. He LOVES eating this food. He starts laughing as soon as I start to feed him. He is really starting to make a lot of noises too. When he is happy, he is constantly cooing, and he is starting to figure out how to spit a little. Andre's Grandmother, La Rae, bought us a highchair today and I can't wait to see it. It should get here in a couple days and then this whole feeding thing will maybe be a little easier...
I love this little boy. I love staying home with him. I thought I would get really bored staying home all the time but so far I have only had one or two days where I'm like... I HAVE TO GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE! I am SO glad that I'm not in the trailer anymore. The place is so much bigger and happier and I think it makes a big difference. I'm sure it'll be harder in the winter, but right now, I love being a mommy :)
Yay for solids and the new apartment! You'll have to post some pictures of it! :) ♥
