cribs

So Andre and I have been looking for awhile for a good baby crib. We found one on Craigslist for just $40. It was a log crib that looks a lot like this one:

I was super excited about it. It needs sanded down and stained because its been sitting outside but it looked like an awesome crib. Anyway we went and bought it. We got it home and found out that since it was custom made, it was all one piece. All glued together anyway. And, it wont fit in our front door. I was so sad! So, went sat it on our front lawn and are going to fix it up anyway and try to sell it and make a profit out of it. That crib in the picture goes for 1,400 new so I figure we should be able to get a little more than $40 out of it.

Anyway, this weekend we went to Boardman for the superbowl and Andre's mother and I went crib hunting. We found one that I LOVE. We set it up today.. here is a picture
That blanket is one that a girl I work with made for me. It has john deere tractors and logos on it (of course) She is making bumpers out of that same tractor material. And the sheet I found at Ross for $2.99. They have all the same colors as the blanket. Anyway, it feels good to be one step closer to being ready for this baby! Only 10 weeks to go!

  2. That's super sad about the log cabin crib. I've never seen such a cool crib. I hope you make at least $300 off it!
