We've been at my in-laws for the last week or so. We were only planning on being here for like... 6 days, but right after we got here our dog started to act really sick and got really bad the day before we left, so we took her to the vet. The vet ruled it down to either parvo or salmon posioning. We had given her the head of a stealhead to eat 8 days before that. I wasnt aware of this but I guess any kind of fish that migrates is posionous to dogs. I guess they carry a type of parasite that only affects dogs. So, because of this fact, the Vet treated her for salmon posioning. I guess if we hadnt taken her in, she probably would have died before we got back to Moscow. She had to stay at the vet for 48 hours, got IV treatments and antibiotics, but she is doing much better now,muchly due to my mother-in-law. We didnt want to leave without her and we were planning on coming back for Christmas so we decided to just stay here, then head to IF on the 26th. Im super excited to come to IF.
I really like it here in Boardman. Sheila (the mother in law) and I have been baking and doing all sorts of neat things. Its been pretty fun.

Oh No! I'm glad your Dog got the treatment she needed. That's crazy that dogs can get sick from eating migratory fish...who would have known? Good thing the vet did.
